Report from Dode
Fraser
The newly formed Elgin Endurance Club ran
a great meeting at the weekend on the outskirts of Elgin.
A BIG Thanks has to be said to the two landowners for allowing
us to use their land Mr&Mrs Robertson of Linkwood farm and
Mr&Mrs Jackson of Birkenhill Wood.
A demanding but thoroughly enjoyable circuit of over 4 miles was
set out to test the skills and abilities of
a large entry of riders from all over Scotland, including some
competitors from as far afield as Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Top spot was secured by Ricky Mair of Beauly, the only other
rider in the Experts to get close was Allan Scotland,
Both riders finishing on 17 laps.
However........ Murray Thomson was motoring some in the over
40's class , also finishing on 17 laps, finishing one lap ahead
of
relatively local rider, Gavin Johnston of Inverness.
Kagen Mackenzie of Elgin managed a top 5 finish in the Experts
......... well done.
Steven Currie took top honours in the
Clubman Class with S Mckune taking top spot in the Clubman B
Class.
A big thank you to all the Officials
and their helpers who made this a great event,
