The 6th and final H&H race of the season was at Elgin Endurance Club up at Elgin at Birkenhill. Great track using part of the BEC route plus a 2 km MX test in the field to get you flying.

The final round of the 2017 SACU H&H Championship was run at Birkenhill near Elgin. Using part of the course from the BEC Enduro and a massive field there was a lot of riding to be done before the results were announced. Several riders were set an additional challenge with Andrew Bisset being made to start from the back of the pack and rapidly overhauling the entire field  to claim the top spot. Fergus Lamb was on form until mechanical problems forced him to retire .  Alan Davidson back from the ISDE decided to compete on John Littles 1971 Silver tank Husqvarna. With little suspension ( a big soft saddle helps) and a narrow powerband and a few loose wires (in the bike as well as the rider) Alan surprised many by finishing on 6 laps and being so happy he also did a "Victory Lap" after the flag.

The Experts was won by Andrew Bisset with Ben Thomson in 2nd and Dean Reid in 3rd

Derek Little made an all too rare appearance to take the win i  Over 40's ahead of Ian Bisset who had pushed hard all year and claimed 2nd spot in the Championship. David Vass finished in 3rd

In the Clubman Class James Barrack took the win ahead of Scott Owens and Kenny Thomson

Andrew Currie won the Clubman B class and took the Championship as well with Gareth Jamieson in 2nd and also 2nd in the Championship. Danny Sutherland finished the podium places in 3rd

There was a low turnout in the new Over 50 class but the riders pushed hard all day with Lindsay Barrie finishing 1st with Alan Copland in 2nd and evergreen Ian Little in 3rd

Angus Bruce finished the race in 1st and also claimed the Championship - the youngest rider to win a class at only 15 and also being too young to ride in the first race . A family tradition with his father Keith winning the Clubman Championship in 1982 then the Experts in 1985.  And his 8 laps being good enough for a podium in most classes at the event

Stephen Durrand pushed him hard all day with Mike Glass finishing in 3rd.

A great event by Barry and Kev and all the team. Thanks to John and Eillen Little for the lap scoring .

The 1st round of the 2018 Championship is in 2 weeks on 5th November at Lauder.
