Report from Andrew McConnel -
The
Midge Run
had only 65 starters but a tough lot they were as 63
finished,
None
more so than Pete Nixon
who finished with one toe less than he started with.
The
course was in the trees and roots and took full concentration to
stay on time, but most seemed to manage.
First
it was the shorter tightish check
which required a little fire road speeding to make the times
then off down the relaxed two way section to the other forest a
steady run through the trees and then back.
David McArthur
and his GASGAS smoothed his way round
the tricky test to the expert win,
followed by the battling (injury) Richard
Hay
james harvey john henderson and nicky
beavitt shared first place in the o/40s, causing much rechecking
of the times.but they could not be split.
In
the clubmen steve currie just pipped hamish patrick both of whom
were giving the tight check full welly
Scott mc vittie won the well
supported clubmen b
The
sportsmen stuck in better than expected and that class was won
by alan carson
Many
of the sportsmen looked well capable of running in a higher
class
Thanks
to all who helped on the day
