Hi Guys & Girlie
What a relief that the weather held for us on Sunday.  Hope you all enjoyed your days riding.  There will be a full report later
but just wanted to say there were some good chases going on in the different classes.  Congratulations to all the winners.
Dougie Kerr in the Expert class gave Murray a hard time - I don't know what Dougies wife feeds him, but think I
should ask for some receipes!!! (Oh am I going to get into trouble for saying that!!)
Wont waffle any more I know everyone is eager to get the results.
Thought I would just give you an insight into how the results are produced, just in case some are wondering.
Each time you go through your gate (correct one only) your number is taken in order on a sheet.  At the same time there
is a master sheet being completed of all the bikes coming through, irrespective of class, so there is back up should a bike
be missed for whatever reason.  Once the chequered flag is put out this is noted on the gate and master sheets as only
bikes that take the chequered flag record a finish, and also gives us placings.
The information on the gate sheets is then transferred onto another master listing all the bikes in order and a box is ticked
for each lap completed.  This information is then checked again, and if there are any discrepancies (one can get cross-eyed
dealing with some many numbers!!) they are individually checked on the gate sheet and checked against the master sheet.
The gate sheets are then checked against the master sheet, which would also highlight any discrepancies.
When there are riders with the same number of laps their place is decided by the order in which they took the chequered
flag.
So there you have it, which is why it takes a bit longer than you might think (work gets in the way!!)
However, should you not be happy with your result and feel that your laps or place is wrong please phone me as I am happy
to discuss it.  I am 99.99% sure these results are correct but as I said I do get a bit cross eyed dealing with some many
numbers, and I have been known to make the odd mistake or dozen!!!
Our motox winter series kicks off on the 22nd October at Lochhouses, and we will be holding another Hare & Hounds, the
last in our X-Country Championship for 2006, on the 19th November again at Lochhouses.  We hope to see you there.
For all those doing the our Selkirk Enduro on the 15th October, I do hope the weather is kinder and that it goes ahead
giving you all an enjoyable days riding.
Regards
Rosie
